For parents of small children in any area est and south of Raleigh, today is a disappointment.

For about half an hour yesterday, Fuquay Varina looked like a winter wonderland. School children went out an hour early for their annual Christmas break. Excitement was every where. Saturday was going to be D-snow day.

Saturday is here, as drairy as it can be. Only wet pavements. Little faces questioning local meteorologists predictions leading to the build up of a huge excitement in their little brains. What can we hopeless parents say:"This is just the beginning. We'll have real snow next week..."
